David Gray,

Rev. Dr. David Gray is Senior Fellow in Political Science at Niskanen Center. David directed New America’s Workforce and Family Program from 2005-2013, served previously as Acting Assistant Secretary for Policy at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL); staffed, and was principal in, several White House working groups; and represented the U.S. abroad in negotiations in Mexico and in Chile. He has served as a Counsel to the U.S. Senate Governmental Affairs Committee and as a legislative aid to several members of Congress.
He serves as Senior Pastor of a Presbyterian church, consults to a variety of organizations and writes on politics, social policy, economics and religion.
David is a graduate of Yale, Harvard, Northwestern University School of Law and Wesley Seminary.
